Because the charter bus companies are moving to a "per passenger" charge rather than charging for the bus
by time used, Designing activities using charter buses to get us there and back has become too expensive. Since
we would have to pass those costs through to the participants along with the cost of admission, if any. to the
destination, it could put it out of reach to some, if not many of our members. We don't want to see that
happen. So, rather than abandon side trips altogeher, we want to see if doing them on a ride sharing basis with everyone
buying their tickets on their own when we get there will work for us.
Here are two possibilities for 2012:
1 - The NASA Kennedy Space Center located at Cape Carnaveral about 40 freeway minutes east of Orlando

2. - The Fantasy of Flight vintage aircraft and warbirds museum in Polk City. It is about 30 minutes southwest
of Orlando on I-4.

The best way to work it would probably be to have sign-up sheets for each activity at the table when you register and pick up your badge
on Wednesday.
(If interest is there, there is no law that says that we can't do one on Thursday and the other on Friday.)
